Guide to Managing Junk Email in Outlook.com

This guide is intended for users of TUKE’s web-based email interface, available at https://outlook.com/owa/ad.tuke.sk, to configure trusted and blocked email sources.

Settings – Outlook.com

After logging in to Outlook.com, click the Settings icon in the top right corner of the page and select View all Outlook settings.

The account settings interface will appear. Go to the Mail (1.) → Junk Email (2.) tab.

A form will appear where you can enter an email address or domain to block or trust a sender.

Enter the email address or domain into field (3.) and press ENTER. Once you have finished adding or removing entries (using the trash icon), click Save (4).

Marking a Message as Junk

If you receive a message you consider to be Junk, you can mark it by selecting the Junk Email option.

This action creates a rule to block the sender and removes the message from your Inbox.

Marking a Message as Trusted

If a message ends up in your Junk Email folder, but you believe it is legitimate, you can mark it as safe by selecting Not Junk.

This adds the sender to your list of trusted senders and moves the message to your Inbox.
