Microsoft EES

This is a multi-license subscription program between the Slovak Ministry of Education and Microsoft, offering Microsoft software under the M365 EDU A3 agreement.

This agreement allows the university to:

• Upgrade OS licenses to Windows EDU,
• Use Microsoft 365 (Office 365) (Office 365),
• Access server licenses (CALs)

These licenses are temporary, valid during the contract period, and can only be installed on university-owned computers. After contract termination, licenses must be purchased or the software uninstalled.

To use the Windows EDU upgrade, the computer must already have a legitimate Windows version (e.g., HOME or PRO). This upgrade does not legalize an unlicensed OS.

The user is responsible for ensuring their software is properly licensed.

Accepted base licenses:

• For Windows 10 EDU – Windows 10 Home
• For Windows 11 EDU – Windows 11 Home

This program allows academic institutions to purchase Microsoft product licenses at educational prices. Licenses obtained through this channel are perpetual. Orders must be made through a Microsoft LAR partner.

Pricing and purchase information are available by emailing swlic@helpdesk.tuke.sk. Each department is responsible for handling its own license orders and payments in coordination with the ICT.
