IS Cards and Person Registry
IS Cards
The IS Cards system is used for creating, printing, and managing identification cards for students, employees, and guests. The ICT developed it. The system also manages photographs used for card production.
Data from IS Cards is used by several other internal information systems and applications at TUKE, including the app for identifying students and staff. Additionally, card data is exported to CKM and TransData transportation terminals.
In the future, we plan to modernize the IS Cards system using up-to-date technologies to optimize processes, enhance data management efficiency, and improve integration with other systems and applications.

Person Registry
The ICT originally created the Person Registry system to generate unique personal identifiers and email addresses, as well as to resolve data conflicts. It currently serves as a central location for storing data on persons involved in TUKE activities (students, teachers, external entities) and on active relationships within TUKE.
We plan to restructure the current processes into two standalone systems:
- One for Person Registry management
- One for Role/Position Registry management
This separation will provide better control over both processes and data, allowing for independent integration with data from the IS Cards system.
The planned standardization and centralization of the data model and storage will ensure effective data management and establish a single source of truth, which many other TUKE systems and applications will leverage.
